3,200+ Fan Photos Across a Multi-Day Esports Tournament
Background
OMGAD Games is a multi-day esports tournament held annually, drawing 2,500+ attendees across three days of competitive gaming across multiple titles. The event operates with a lean production crew and relies heavily on sponsor partnerships to fund prize pools and production.
The Challenge
Managing fan engagement across multiple stages and game titles simultaneously was the core challenge. Previous events used a roaming photographer, which was slow, missed most of the crowd, and produced no sponsor-attributable data. Sponsors wanted proof of on-site engagement beyond footfall counts, and the small crew couldn't dedicate staff to run a traditional fan cam at each stage.
Go Fan Cam Setup
OMGAD chose the Pro plan with 5 active links — one per stage area plus a general venue link. QR codes were displayed on stage screens between matches and printed on lanyards. The production team added Go Fan Cam as a browser source in their existing vMix workflow, cycling fan photos between game replays. Setup across all five links took under 40 minutes on the first morning.

Commercial Outcome
Post-event, the commercial team shared a Go Fan Cam stats export with all three title sponsors. Two sponsors increased their commitment for the following year's event, citing the click-through data as the deciding factor.
“We needed something that worked without a dedicated crew. Go Fan Cam let our small team run fan activations across the entire tournament without pulling anyone off production duties.”
